Sunday, Oct 24 9:30-5 pm EDT

The Wisdom of the Enneagram focuses on the particular ways that each Enneagram type disconnects from reality and how to transform and heal.

"9 Paths to Transformation and Change"

This workshop will help students, couples, those in the helping professions, and individuals seeking deeper wisdom and change to understand the 9 Enneagram types' emotional triggers and mental distortions and their capacity for transformation. They will understand the ways in which the types unconsciously sabotage or make their lives more difficult due when under stress. And the ways in which individuals can stay present and transform their reactive type-specific patterns into healthy expressions of presence, creativity, and connection with others. The understanding of one’s Enneagram type patterns creates a bridge to intimacy and loving connection with self and others, be it in relationships, in the pursuit of one's life goals, or in one's ability to create a life of well-being and change. Participants will experience deeper understanding and compassion for the psychological and emotional mechanisms that challenge each of the types, and clarity for the ways in which each person reactively defends themselves from hurt, shame, and fear.

The workshop will provide tools and practices that assist each of the 9 types in coming forth with their authenticity and full capacity, and the awareness of how to change and transform their type patterns, and their lives. The Wake-up Call of each type will be addressed (the core Enneagram pattern that sets each type into unconscious reactivity), along with the Basic Fear and the mental and emotional type-specific distortion patterns of each type. You will learn what each type needs to feel supported, empowered, seen, and valued. Pathways to change and transformation for each of the types will be identified and understood.

Participants will be guided to use the Enneagram as a profound and immensely practical tool to understand one's core psychological and emotional patterns. We will feature exercises as well as music, meditations, and practices that will help bring greater self-awareness and presence to our inquiry.
